Entries open for the Young Person in LPG Awards

Nominations are now open for Liquid Gas UK’s awards programme that celebrates talented young people in the LPG sector.

The initiative, sponsored by Vaillant, is in its fifth year and recognises talented people under the age of 35 who are making a significant contribution to the LPG and renewable liquid gases sector.

This year’s awards have evolved from three categories to an overall winner and one runner-up, with a simpler format to place greater emphasis on standout individual achievement. Nominations can be submitted by colleagues or by individuals themselves.

Entries close on 3 October 2025 and will be reviewed by an expert judging panel. The winner and runner-up will be announced at Liquid Gas UK’s annual conference in Bournemouth on 13 November.

Previous ‘Rising Star’ Award winner and Deputy Editor (LPG) of Argus Media, Waldemar Jaszczyk, shared his advice for nominees. He said: “Winning the award meant a huge deal to me. Only a year later I was promoted and I made sure to mention the award during the interview process.

“For anyone thinking about entering, just do it. There’s no downside to trying. Take every opportunity that’s presented.”

Mark Wilkins, Technology & Solutions Portfolio director at Vaillant, said: “Training and education are absolutely fundamental to what we do. Attracting young people into our business and the wider LPG industry is essential for its future. We need new energy and fresh thinking to take us forward. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to sponsor the awards for the fifth year running.”
