Train online to get ThermaSkirt registered

When you complete DiscreteHeat’s online training modules for its innovative ThermaSkirt system, you can become a registered installer of the energy efficient heating solution. There are three modules and each module is broken down into bite-sized chunks of easily digestible information.

ThermaSkirt is a radiant heating system designed to look like a traditional skirting board. It can work with the existing heating system, whether that’s a gas boiler, heat pump or electric heating, and it’s controlled just like conventional radiators, using existing thermostats and timers or smart controls. It’s  around 13% more energy efficient than radiators on a gas boiler system, and up to 25 per cent more efficient when connected to heat pump or solar PV systems, the company says.

Training module one is a product and component overview that explains the technical aspects of ThermaSkirt and highlights the features and benefits for both the installer and their customers.

The second module is more hands-on and demonstrates the step-by-step process of how to install a wet ThermaSkirt system. Module three explains how to specify, design and quote for a system and introduces the online portal that is accessible to registered installers.

When all three modules have been completed, installers are eligible to become registered and start using the ThermaSkirt trade-only online portal and all its benefits. They will also receive priority technical support by phone or WhatsApp and can use the portal to add customers, provide professional quotes using their own contact details and logos, and access exclusive offers.

The next level is accredited installer, which must be attended in person at the Manchester training centre or a partner facility. When the training and assessment day has been completed, installers’ details are added to the ‘Find an Installer’ map on the DiscreteHeat website, so that potential customers – homeowners, specifiers and contractors – can find them.

Ethan Wadsworth, director of Sales and Marketing, says: “The online Introduction to ThermaSkirt course is very accessible and explains how skirting board heating works and how it is installed. It’s a great way for interested installers to get a taste of all the benefits before signing up.”
