New Baxi centre triples training capacity
The new Solutions Academy at Baxi’s Warwick HQ triples the site’s training capacity to 2,000 installers a year from 2025.
The 10,000ft2 facility has a dedicated solutions training room so that heating engineers can get hands on with all Baxi’s residential and commercial products under one roof.
It includes a digital studio to support a new e-learning platform that the company will launch later this year. Installers will be able to access live virtual training and pre-learning, as well as extending their in-person training through follow-up out-of-class sessions. The digital platform will help people to move forward in their careers at their own pace and convenience, says Baxi.
The company is also expanding its nationwide team of 10 expert trainers, who work out of four wholly owned facilities and 13 satellite centres in other education facilities. It anticipates being able to train 10,000 installers a year in person by 2025, with 5,000 more installers using e-learning.
Ian Trott, head of UK Training Solutions, says: “I’m excited about the future, not just because of our fantastic new training solutions centre in Warwick, but because of our opportunity in supporting commercial sector skills through a dedicated solutions room in Warwick.”
The company’s focus on solutions training, alongside traditional product training, is expected to be replicated at its other centres in Warrington, Dartford and Dublin.
