First ever census of LPG industry
Liquid Gas UK has launched its first LPG industry census, which will gather information from across the LPG sector, including gas suppliers, equipment suppliers, service providers and gas engineers.
The census is the first opportunity for the LPG industry to feed in the latest facts and figures relating to the sector, which will provide the trade association (formerly known as UKLPG) with an in-depth understanding of where the sector is, at the start of this important decade for the industry.
The census will help Liquid Gas UK to get an accurate snapshot to launch a new headline report this summer, highlighting topics such as:
• How much investment is going to the LPG industry?
• What is the LPG industry worth?
• How many people are employed across the sector, and in what roles?
• How many new jobs have been created?
• Which sectors are growing?
• How is the LPG industry using new technologies?
The report will available first to those who complete the survey, before it’s published in the summer. The report will be a resource for marketing and business development, as well as for sharing with investors or shareholders.
Those who complete the survey will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win two tickets to the Argus Awards for Excellence in London in November.
Sophia Haywood, director of Public Affairs at Liquid Gas UK, says: “Launching the LPG Industry Census is a critical initiative for Liquid Gas UK and all our members. Not only will the final report be a great resource for members, but it will also enable us to use the most up-to-date information on the sector, allowing us to make sure the industry’s voices are heard with hard factual evidence and to represent it even better.
“The census is critical to strengthening our knowledge, helping grow the use of LPG today and helping secure our role in the future energy mix.”
The survey is open until Friday 15 May 2020 and you can take part here.
