Worcester Bosch at halfway point in Strava Club target
Worcester Bosch engineers have reached the halfway point in their Strava Club target of travelling 4,000 miles to celebrate the launch of a new Worcester boiler range.
Worcester introduced its own Strava Club when the Greenstar 4000 boiler range was launched, and challenged its members to travel a collective 4,000 miles between 26 May and 31 July as part of the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 Relay. With six weeks to go, members have already travelled 2016 miles through activities including cycling, running and swimming.
Until the end of July, engineers who join the club will be entered into a monthly prize draw for the chance to win a Worcester Bosch-branded thermal bottle and t-shirt. At the end of the relay, a grand prize draw will see one of the top 20 engineers receive a free Greenstar 4000 boiler.
Nicola Fisher, PR manager for Worcester Bosch, says: “When we were planning the launch of the Greenstar 4000, we were initially going to set up a road trip relay where regional sales teams would take the new boiler around the country. The baton was the boiler, our sales team the runners.
“When Covid restrictions meant we were unable to do so, we decided to take it online as a virtual relay. There’s nothing like some friendly competition to get people out and about! We’re delighted to already see engineers and our own employees alike clocking up those miles.
“We’re encouraging engineers across the country to get involved and help us reach 4,000 miles and beyond by the end of July.”
