Women Installers Together conference returns next month
Next month sees the return of the Women Installers Together (WIT) event on 6 July. The unique event, run by and for skilled tradeswomen, is back at a new, bigger venue in London.
Women make up a very small percentage of tradespeople, and some never meet another tradeswomen. The event was created in 2017 by Hattie Hasan, who later received an MBE for her work helping overcome isolation and bringing tradeswomen together.
The WIT event is organised and run by Stopcocks Women Plumbers, whose founder Hattie will be MC, and which will welcome speaker Mandy Hickson, one of the first women fast-jet fighter pilots.
There will also be round-table discussions and speakers from the floor in Five Minutes of Fame. Lunch will be provided.
The event is at The Great Hall, London Metropolitan University, Holloway Road, London, and tickets are free for tradeswomen and sponsors. Tradesmen and company representatives who’d like to find out how they can support tradeswomen are very welcome and can buy tickets at £50. You can get tickets here.
