WaterSafe becomes WaterSafe Register
WaterSafe has a new name: WaterSafe Register. The new name makes its role clearer: to operate a trusted national register of approved plumbing installers who are qualified and competent to work safely with drinking water systems.
Its purpose is to protect public health through high-quality plumbing and water regulations compliance remains the same.
In the same way that Gas Safe Register is immediately understood as a register of approved gas engineers, the organisation wants WaterSafe Register to signal clearly what it does and why it matters. WaterSafe Register’s recent research found that 91% of homeowners agree that plumbers should be qualified, vetted, hold a minimum set of qualifications and be on an official register.
The new identity will make it easier for consumers to find trusted professionals and aims to encourage more plumbers and drinking water contractors to join the register.
