Train on heat pumps free with Smart Energy

Heating installers can upskill in heat pumps with a free four-day course from Smart Energy Training. 

The funded domestic programme is delivered at centres in Ashbourne and Lutterworth, with Nottingham opening soon, and is aimed at helping installers tap into the renewable energy market. 

The course covers installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and fault finding of air source heat pump systems, alongside industry standards and best practice, with both classroom and practical training. 

On successful completion, learners gain a BPEC Domestic Air Source Heat Pump certificate, valid for five years. 

To qualify for funding, installers must have three years’ experience, a current Water Regulations and Bylaws certificate, and a Level 2 or 3 plumbing or heating qualification.
