Rebuild for a better future in National Apprenticeship Week

During National Apprenticeship Week (8-14 February), training provider JTL is encouraging learners and employers to act now to rebuild for a better future.

It’s an opportunity for learners to renew their aspirations and build skills to boost their employment chances, and it’s a chance for employers to rebuild their business by taking up government incentives of up to £3,000 for taking on an apprentice before the end of March

Employing an apprentice not only supports the individual business and learner, but also helps the wider Covid-19 economic recovery plan, says JTL.

Chief executive Jon Graham says: “This past year, JTL has recognised more than ever the pivotal role trade professionals play in carrying out essential work, with apprentices proving invaluable during the ongoing pandemic.

“And, as we all hope, we start to conquer this virus, traditional trade roles will be needed more than ever. Apprentices will continue to address skills gaps while creating sustainable employment opportunities across countless sectors.

“As part of JTL’s support to ensure a pipeline of skilled tradespeople, we are on hand to speak to employers who are keen to invest in the training and development of an apprentice.”
