Entries open for Screwfix top tradesperson 2026
Entries are now open for Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2026, with tradespeople across the UK and Ireland invited to apply before the deadline of midnight on Sunday 12 July 2026.
Now in its 17th year, the competition celebrates the dedication, professionalism and commitment of those working in the trades. The winner will receive a £20,000/€20,000 bundle of tools, tech and training.
Since winning in 2025, Motherwell builder, Martin Daly of MD Builders Ltd, said the competition helped raise his business profile following his success last year. “The exposure I got from winning has helped raise the profile of my business, and I have been lucky enough to visit both the Scottish Parliament and the Houses of Parliament in London, to talk about the importance of supporting the industry with more public funding.
“I would encourage anyone thinking about entering to just take the first step, fill in the online application form, and you never know where it could lead!”
Applications can be submitted online, with entries open to individuals or nominations from employers, customers or friends. Thirty applicants will be shortlisted for the semi-final, before ten finalists compete at Screwfix Live in Farnborough on 25 September 2026, where they will go head-to-head in front of an expert panel of industry judges.
“Tradespeople play a vital role in supporting homes, businesses and communities, and this competition is all about celebrating their achievements and championing the industry. We’re looking forward to hearing more inspiring stories as entries open for 2026,” commented Jack Wallace, marketing director at Screwfix.
Applications can be made at screwfix.com/stt or screwfix.ie/stt.
