Adey takes training online

Adey has introduced free online training sessions for gas engineers and plumbers, and has already trained more than 600 people via webinars.

Building on Adey’s Best Practice approach, the company has also launched a certified e-learning module to help installers advance their knowledge and understanding of water treatment. Each installer who passes the course will receive Adey certification, enhancing the service they can offer customers and helping to further protect heating systems.

Senior technical trainer Colin Yearp says: “We were keen to continue to support our network of installers and the introduction of online courses delivered through webinars and e-learning has given Adey and installers great flexibility to learn while in the home. We’re really proud of our team for being able to bring the launch forward to help at this time.

“We have space for up to 100 people on each of our online sessions. We’ve been over-subscribed for nearly every one of them, so we are working hard to put on more slots to help as many installers access the courses as we can. As I’ve been telling our delegates, ‘learning is earning’ and the knowledge gained right now can be a real benefit to their business once they are able to return to work full time.”

The current online course catalogue consists of MagnaCleanse training; domestic filters: what to fit and when; commercial filters and water treatment; water testing: what, when, why? and chemicals explained.
