Think CO launches free safety App to raise public awareness

The Gas Safe Charity’s Think CO programme has launched a new free mobile app to help reinforce carbon monoxide (CO) safety awareness.

The free Think CO App, co-funded by the Gas Safe Charity and the UK’s Gas Distribution Networks, is now available for Android users. The easy-to-use resource offers quick access to CO safety information, key messages from Think CO training and guidance for professionals supporting vulnerable people in their own homs. An Apple version will be released soon.

Feedback on the app is welcomed ahead of a review planned for 2026. Organisations working with vulnerable people are encouraged to promote the resource. Queries and comments can be sent to thinkco@gassafecharity.org.uk.

Meanwhile, CO-Gas Safety continues to campaign for clearer public guidance on what to do when a CO alarm sounds, highlighting the need to inform people to get outside and call 999.
