Worcester Bosch launches digital training hub
Worcester Bosch has launched a set of digital training resources for gas engineers, helping them continue expanding their knowledge during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The manufacturer has already tested training sessions with some of its Worcester Accredited Installers, and the company is now extending them out on its new Facebook training hub and Skype.
The training covers a range of topics from gas specification to electrical safe isolation.
A Facebook training group provides information from the company’s Training Academy, from in-depth information on key areas of training with end-of-unit assessments and quizzes, to live streaming and the ability to ask questions to the Worcester Bosch training team .
The Worcester Bosch Training Academy Facebook Group also provides an updated timetable of upcoming Skype training sessions, including the ability to share feedback on sessions and the chance to submit requests for future training topics. On Skype, gas engineers can ask real-time questions to their trainer.
Gas engineers can book a slot on the courses on a first-come first-served basis by emailing the training mailbox, available in the Facebook group.
National training manager Ewan Sutherland says: “Moving online is one of the few benefits during the current crisis. The integration of online platforms will help our industry to modernise and connect installers who may have never otherwise had the opportunity.
“We want to bring the heating industry together, from apprentices to professionals with upwards of 20 years of experience. It has never been so important to share our successes and engage with the others in our communities.”
