Vaillant blended training works around you

Vaillant has unveiled a series of training courses that combine on-site learning with theory-based modules that can be taken at home.

It has launched four blended learning courses with Cert-ain Certification Services, offering heating engineers industry-accredited training that fits around you.

The vocational courses, which cover Water Regulations, unvented hot water systems, energy efficiency, and safe electrical isolation, see attendees learn about the current Building Regulations that apply to each topic. Once complete, you can attend a Vaillant Centre of Excellence to complete the practical element, and then gain your qualification.

The new courses will significantly reduce the time typically needed to attend training courses from one day per course, to three courses in just two days.

The move to blended learning comes after Vaillant moved its training courses online during the pandemic, during which 25,000 places were booked in 2020. Commercial director Spencer Clark says: “Training is a great way to upskill and diversify to offer new services. However, taking days away from the tools can be costly, especially when you consider many installers are still trying to recover from the past 18 months.

“Our new Cert-ain courses mean installers can invest in their learning without the additional cost of extended time away from their business. In addition, we’ve worked really hard behind the scenes to make this possible and have seen all our trainers re-assessed to ensure they meet Cert-ain’s strict criteria.”
