Revamp for Worcester Bosch training

Worcester Bosch has refocused its training programmes to be topic-specific rather than appliance-specific.

Training now covers more topics in greater detail and there are 28 centre-based courses. There are also mobile courses and three progression packages within the curriculum.

Training is split into gas, renewables, certified, system, oil, commercial, mobile and other. Topics include specification, installation and commissioning, service and maintenance, repair and fault-finding, and legacy service and repair.

National training manager Nick Fothergill says: “It made sense to rejuvenate our own training programme to ensure that we are giving installers the essential skills they need to progress.”

Around 16,000 gas engineers undergo training at Worcester academies every year.
