Govt grants for UK businesses to prepare for no-deal Brexit

Organisations and industry bodies can apply for a grant from the Business Readiness Fund to help them prepare for a no-deal Brexit.

The grants are for £25,000 and over. Recipients can use the grant for things like producing advice packs, and running events, training courses and webinars.

Individual businesses cannot apply for the grant but organisations that are eligible include:
• Chambers of commerce
• Chartered institutes
• Professional bodies
• Trade associations
• Groups of organisations – a lead organisation must be appointed to deliver the project

Applications must be for new projects or activities. Grand funding cannot be used for existing projects, those already at planning stage or to provide grants or loans to businesses.

You must complete these activities by 31 October 2019.

If you run a membership organisation, you must include non-members in your proposed activities.

The deadline for applications is 30 September 2019.
