As one of our Gas Safe registered engineers, you will be the face of our business in our customers’ homes. You will undertake servicing, fault finding and repairs on a range of domestic gas appliances, to keep our customers safe and warm.

Gas installation engineer

We are currently looking for an experienced Installation Engineer to help cover the listed postcode regions. You should have good experience of different heating systems and will be dedicated to providing excellent customer service at all times.

You will have already spent time in a similar role, gaining experience in gas heating installations, will have minimum qualifications of CCN1, CEN1 and CPA1. You should hold valid energy efficiency certificates and will have a full driving licence.

Domestic Service technicians: North East, North West and South East

Due to continued rapid growth Navien UK Ltd are seeking Service technicians to cover in-warranty service calls to Navien-installed products.

The role will require any in warranty repairs to be carried out by utilising the supplied van stocks. In addition the role will be to manage and supervise geographical service agents and to liaise with our existing suppliers and installers.

Both Navien vehicle and uniform will be supplied, along with a tool allowance.

Competencies / Qualifications required
Customers are at the heart of everything we do, so you’ll need to have excellent communication skills, be enthusiastic and have a professional attitude. A flexible approach to working and taking pride in your work are also essential qualities. This is a customer focused role, and you must be able to demonstrate the ability to organise and plan work. You must be qualified to at least NVQ L3 in Mechanical Engineering Services – Plumbing or equivalent and currently be Gas Safe registered. You must have practical experience of working with boilers as well as general plumbing systems. A driving licence is essential as you will be travelling throughout the Essex area.

Additional Information
We operate a spot salary system where the spot salary is the maximum point of the salary range. The figures above indicate 80% and 100% of spot salary. We would expect anyone who is fully performing in a role to achieve 100% of spot within 3 years. Starting salary will depend upon experience, but will be at least 80% of spot, unless the job is identified as a trainee role.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Emergency Lead Engineers

Salary: £29,095 fully qualified and dependant on experience.

About the role

We’re recruiting for Emergency Lead Engineers in the North West, West Midlands, East Midlands, East Anglia and the London area. These roles are part of our Field Force network, providing first call response to gas emergencies.

You’ll work on internal and external planned and emergency jobs. These will include attending gas escapes, liaising with customers and third parties such as the Emergency Services, installing, exchanging and maintaining domestic and industrial gas meters.

You will be part of a wider team and have close supervision but expected to work alone for periods of time, on gas escapes and require you to be flexible, working variable shift patterns and being on a standby rota.

About you

Good knowledge and experience of appliances, and the testing, purging and commissioning of pipework are will benefit your application. Since you’ll be dealing with the public in demanding situations, it will be essential for you to communicate clearly and effectively, having excellent customer service skills and sound problem solving abilities.

Along with being customer focused; safety is our number one priority, so you’ll need a good understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice, Unsafe Situations and other statutory requirements covering the gas industry and adhere to these.

Essential Qualifications

  • Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) Certificate of Competence
  • CCN1 and CPA1 and appliance units, which include a minimum of any 3 from the 5 below, or a minimum of 2 units where they are CENWAT & HTR1.
    • CENWAT – Central Heating Boilers/Hot Water Heaters (CPA1 required)
    • CKR1 – Cookers
    • HTR1 – Space Heaters (including Gas Fires and Wall Heaters) (CPA1 required)
    • DAH1 – Warm Air Heaters
    • LAU1 – Tumble Dryers

Ideally you will have 5 GCSE’s A-C and/or can demonstrate relevant knowledge, experience and qualification.

Previous experience of working in the gas industry, dealing with gas emergencies, the public and emergency services is desirable. Basic IT, numeracy and literacy skills are required for these roles. You’ll also be liaising with internal and external stakeholders so good communication skills and a focus on customer service is key.

Heating Engineers required – £2000 per week

Responsibilities

You will be carrying out domestic heating repairs, diagnostics, servicing, testing and full installations in top residential premises throughout Central London. Candidates should be confident in fault finding on all makes and age of boiler and competent in the design and installation of new heating systems. Essential Requirements

You will have a good general education, especially analytical and computer skills; hold a full driving licence and you should have your own car or van, be highly motivated and able to work autonomously in various locations. The individual should preferable have supervisory experience, live within the central belt of Scotland, hold City & Guilds Gas engineer qualification or NVQ L3 Gas engineering with CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, (Essential), UVHWSS, Part P or Select registered (desirable) and work diligently with minimal supervision with flexible hours.
