Gas Heating Engineer

We are actively seeking talented gas heating engineers to join our growing trades teams.

Salary: £36,429 per annum, plus an enhanced rate for working on a Sunday or a Bank Holiday.
Hours: Full time permanent, 40 hours per week covering a Monday to Sunday Rota
Location: Within all properties maintained and managed by the Wrekin Housing Group including but not limited to Shropshire, Staffordshire and the Midlands.

The role
We are looking for suitably qualified individuals who have both experience of servicing and breakdowns on domestic heating systems, working on a wide variety of boilers.

Key responsibilities will include assessing the work to be undertaken, ensuring it meets the agreed specification and, where appropriate, organise relevant materials for the work. You will also liaise with tenants and other customers and take responsibility for completing the appropriate paperwork associated with the work being undertaken.  

What you will need
Successful applicants will need to have a flexible approach to work and a can-do attitude, delivering the highest levels of customer service.

You will have the relevant ACS qualifications and have experience of maintaining and servicing domestic heating systems and working unsupervised as part of a team.

Given the environment you will be working in, you must be able to demonstrate effective communication, strong team working, organisational, interpersonal skills and maintaining high levels of confidentiality at all times. You will be expected to promote a positive, friendly and understanding attitude towards our customers and other colleagues in order to achieve consistency with the high levels of performance, efficiency and quality that is expected of our Employees.
