We are looking for an experienced gas centre coordinator to become part of our successful team at City College Plymouth, leading on developing strong relationships with our partners and customers. Whilst taking responsibility for identifying and implementing new courses (in line with industry demand), and for assessing our apprentices with their Independent Summative Assessments (gas assessments).

You will be responsible for assessing students undertaking their Gas (ACS), Oil (OFTEC), WRAS and Unvented assessments, and will be required to work with Awarding Bodies and lead the internal quality processes for all gas assessments.

It is essential that the successful candidate has extensive gas and plumbing experience ‘on the tools’, holds a current ACS accreditation, and has an assessor’s award. You will also need a positive attitude, good IT skills, and it is essential that you are a good communicator and motivator.

It would be a distinct advantage if the successful candidate has, or is working towards, an IQA award, OFTEC/Unvented/WRAS qualifications, and it would be advantageous if you have worked on both domestic and commercial appliances.
