ATAG aims to make a splash with UK boilers

ATAG Heating Technology is bringing a new range of domestic compact boilers to the UK in May. It’s part of the Netherlands company’s £25 million investment in a new UK domestic division.

All models are built from A-grade metal and brass components and include energy saving and intelligent control options that are compatible with smartphones and tablets. They all have a five-year warranty as standard, extendable up to 10 years, and come with a lifetime replacement guarantee on ATAG’s own iCon stainless steel heat exchanger, developed from the company’s commercial boilers.

UK managing director Andrew Crown says: “We’re building on our commercial boiler expertise. We have a clear vision for the UK domestic boiler market, which is to supply installers with highly engineered and super-efficient boilers and associated products at a competitive price.”

ATAG is supplying its boilers to Gas Safe Registered engineers only, and on a direct basis – the first manufacturer to do so, it says. Customers have a local ATAG technical product manager for personal support and to help them grow and protect their business.

Technical product managers are also qualified to give on-site assistance if required, and deal with day-to-day issues

“Our way is to help gas engineers grow and protect their business through our unique ‘contract of service guarantee’. This means that engineers can rest assured that ATAG will help them to gain all after-sales servicing and maintenance work when they install our boilers,” adds Andrew.

“Supporting installers directly, and on a personal basis, will ensure we meet their needs. We believe that gas engineers are ready for a change.”

ATAG domestic products have been voted ‘best boilers’ by Dutch consumers for the past six years, based on performance, usability and customer satisfaction.
